The Platinum Group reinforces its position as a leader in the wholesale and retail fashion industry, expanding its empire by securing prime locations in Pratunam area. The group is preparing to launch “The Platinum Square” to strengthen its business by joining forces with Platinum Fashion Mall to elevate itself into a premier trading hub. This initiative underscores its role as ASEAN’s number one fashion hub, supporting fashion traders and manufacturers while boosting Thailand’s tourism to attract shoppers from around the globe.

Mr. Surachai Chotjurangkool, Chairman of the Executive Committee of The Platinum Group, said that: “In 2024, the company announced an investment of 7.8 billion baht to develop The Platinum Square project in the prime commercial area of Pratunam. The goal is to expand The Platinum Group’s business empire to grow steadily and robustly. Combined with Platinum Fashion Mall, this initiative will help revitalize the nation’s wholesale and retail fashion sector, reinforcing its status as ASEAN’s number one fashion hub.

This project is set to become one of the country’s key destinations, poised to attract purchasing power from shoppers worldwide. It aims to drive growth for all business partners, including manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers of fashion and other goods, real estate enterprises, hotels, restaurants, service industries, and tourism sectors, both major and minor players. Currently, customers at Platinum Fashion Mall consist of approximately 70% international tourists, including those from Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam, with the remaining 30% being Thai shoppers. Furthermore, the ongoing construction of the MRT Orange Line, expected to be completed by 2030, will further enhance the potential of Pratunam area, making it even more vibrant.

Upon the completion of the mixed-use development project, “The Platinum Square”, The Platinum Group’s real estate and hotel empire will significantly expand, forming the true “Platinum District”. This district will consist of businesses such as Platinum Fashion Mall, Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, and future ventures including The Platinum Square shopping center and Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum Hotel.”

The large-scale mixed-use project, “The Platinum Square”, consists of a shopping center and hotel situated on a 7-rai plot at Pratunam intersection. It is designed under the core concept of the “Spectrum of Fashion”, reflecting the diversity of fashion to meet various needs in a single location. The building stands 48 stories tall and is divided into two main sections: a 4-story shopping center and a hotel occupying 35 stories. Additionally, the project includes a 4-story parking facility with a capacity of 613 vehicles. The total usable area of the building is approximately 100,000 square meters, with an estimated construction cost of around 3.95 billion baht.

Ready to bring together a coalition of partners, this project includes wholesale and retail fashion operators, ranging from big-name brands to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as providers of other goods, exquisite dining options, exclusive services, and much more. The aim is to offer a thrilling shopping experience in the new fashion metropolis. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 1, 2025, and construction is now underway.
